Intro to the course:

This 15 week course will give you skills and knowledge to start your Make-up career. You'll be taught in purpose-built  salons  by industry-experienced staff. You will develop practical skills in make-up applications and skin care.  This course will prepare you for progression to study Level 6 Creative Make-up within the same academic year.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to start a career in make-up. It will suit school leavers or those looking to change career or progress into the industry.

What will I study?

You will develop a broad range of skills in:  Contemporary Make-up applications, Bridal and Evening Make-up, Creative, Current Make-up trends, Developing Make-up skills , Competition Technical Skills and Hairstyling: An Introduction. You will also advance you ICT and Meta skills.

What are the entry requirements?

Completion of one of the following

  • Intro to Hair and Make-up level 4
  • Gradu8 Make-up Artistry
  • relevant industry experience 
  • Two National 4/equivalent qualifications 
  • Enthusiasm for the Make-up industry
  • Successful interview 

What are the interview arrangements?

Applicants will be invited for a group interview on college campus by the lecturing team.
