How will I be assessed?

Ongoing individual unit assessments throughout the course, using a range of methods. These are both open and closed book assessments. An end-of-year graded unit will give the final grade.

We have close links the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and local companies (technician apprenticeship scheme) which will provide you with site visits, industry links and work experience. Professional status in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor or trainee quantity surveyor depending on experience.

What are the entry requirements?

One or more of the following: 

  • one Higher Grade with appropriate Standard Grades or National 5 Awards or 
  • at least 12 relevant SQA National Qualification Units at appropriate level 
  • relevant work experience or qualifications 
  • course entry may be subject to interview
