Horticultural Therapy
Breaking New Ground in Health & Well-Being

We’re breaking new ground in Scottish Further Education with our Horticulture Therapy course.

Therapeutic Horticulture is the use of gardening and plant-based activities to improve patient health and well-being.  Horticultural Therapy or HT, is increasingly being practised within the Healthcare sector (mental health & physical rehabilitation), prison services, education and sociological/welfare work.

Currently, we’re the only provider other than Coventry University to offer a qualification in this area. This introductory course can help you improve your therapy skills base, learn ‘green prescription’ activities and get a real taste of working in Horticulture Therapy.

Our HT training is delivered by a degree-qualified Horticultural Therapist, who has years of experience working in this field.
