Cheer for change as we join Cop 26

It’s time for the UN climate change conference otherwise known as Cop 26 to arrive in Glasgow.

We’re excited to tell you about South Lanarkshire College’s plans for getting involved.

The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Starting on Monday 1 November, staff and students at the College will be holding a hybrid of on campus and online events for you to enjoy and participate in. During the two week conference you’ll be invited to an array of events to help you Look to Your Sustainable Future.

You’re invited to come along and

  • Learn about the value of outdoor play with our Childcare team in our Forest Kindergarten
  • Grow a sustainable future with our horticulturists
  •  Speak to the sustainable experts at the Home Energy and Capital Hair and Beauty stalls
  • Get your bike fixed on campus by DR Bike
  • Get inspired by Inspire Caterings leftover recipes
  • Exercise your way to sustainability with our Sport and Fitness team
  •  Understand the impact of sustainability on the environment during our Science session
  •  Join in the opening of our Wall Insulation Academy
  • ‘Cheer for Change’, you’re invited to get involved by clapping and cheering us towards a sustainable future
