“I knew the College well as I’d attended the College Nursery as an infant and also had a great time in S4 when I undertook my School work experience in the South Lanarkshire College Marketing Department. I loved the College environment, the location and the lecturers seemed really focused and knowledgeable”.
Seonaid continued: “During the two years of the HND programme I studied a variety of subject areas, I created and ran events and even worked with my classmates to arrange a Family filled Gala Day and a Musical Bingo Night. For the Gala Day, we arranged lots of different activities suitable for all ages while gathering donations from local business to put in our raffle. All of the money that was made was donated to Marie Curie, which was our selected charity that year. Our Music Bingo Night was planned to raise money for the Mental Health Charity ‘See Me’, which helps to break the stigma surrounding Mental Health.
I loved my time at College and was thrilled to receive A passes in my graded units. After gaining an unconditional place, I’ve just started Year 3 at Glasgow Caledonian University where I’m currently studying International Events Management.
I am really looking forward to the future and can’t thank South Lanarkshire College enough for all the help and support I’ve received. If you’re considering the College route, I’d say go for it… It‘s been the best decision I’ve ever made”.
