Supporting positive mental health and wellbeing
20 August 2021
As you will be aware, Scotland has now moved beyond Level 0 of the Covid Protection Levels. There are a number of significant changes across South Lanarkshire and Scotland which have taken place over the past few weeks, meaning that most restrictions have now been lifted.
Please remember, that we still need to remain cautious, both in our personal lives and when on campus. You can still catch the virus and it can still make you and those around you ill, even if you have been vaccinated. Our safety measures will remain in place for the foreseeable future to protect us all.
Some of the main safety measures which will remain in place or change across our campus in to the 2021-22 session include:
All of these measures are in place to keep all our students, staff and visitors safe in the new term. It is important that we continue to follow them to ensure that everyone on campus is kept as risk free from covid as possible, whilst ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable being at the college. We will, of course, keep this under review, with the next Scottish Government update expected on 9 August.
Your lecturer or Course Tutor should have now informed you of your timetable and whether your class will be taught online or on campus. If not, this will be with you very shortly. We will continue to focus on a blended learning approach, with students learning both on campus and online. Priority will again be given to practical subjects that cannot be taught online, although all students will be on campus at some point for their course in the first few weeks.
