The combined NC Travel and Tourism and NPA Events course is a solid foundation for progressing to higher-level study or an entry-level position in events, travel and tourism. Working in travel and tourism opens up a world of opportunities including within the aviation sector, tourist information and customer service roles. You will learn in our purpose-built cabin room and have the chance to take part in college and external events.
This course will start in August 2022.
Direct entry to a range of HNC/D courses, including
- HNC/D Event Management
- HNC/D Travel and Tourism
One or more of the following:
- ICT, Numeracy and Communication at National 4 plus a further relevant National 4 award
- Equivalent recognised qualification
- Relevant work experience
- If English is not your first language, ESOL at an appropriate level or IELTS or equivalent with an entry score of 5.5 or above
- Acceptance may depend on interview.

What Will I Study?
This course prepares you for further study/progression in events/travel and tourism. You’ll learn about the industry and develop skills in customer service, employability and selling. You can specialise in retail and business travel, cabin crew, activity tourism, airport ground operations, guiding, resort work, or languages. You’ll learn about event organisation, event costing and corporate events. You’ll learn through groupwork, lectures, industry visits and guest speakers.
