Course Outline:

This is an introductory course for those whose first language is not English. It covers everyday language and will help you progress to further study and work.

This course will start in November 2022.

Entry Requirements:

One or more of the following:

  • Completed SQA literacies modules
  • Basic understanding of reading, writing, speaking and listening
  • Course entry may be subject to interview.

Ideal for anyone wanting to learn English as a second language. It will suit school leavers or anyone wanting to learn beginners English.

You’ll learn basic English skills including: How to say hello Tone Facial and body language Using grammar Writing simple instructions Using tenses.

How will I be assessed?

Ongoing assessment of ability in speaking, listening, reading and writing in English.
