Why should I study hospitality?

With 102,000 vacancies reported in the UK between April and June 2021, employers are looking for experienced staff and even increasing wages to attract more people into the industry. The hospitality industry is projected to continue to grow by 4% over the next ten years, which will mean more job opportunities.

Roles within the hospitality industry vary although experienced individuals in hospitality such as those in hotel management positions can earn up to £60,000 per year. 

What jobs can I get in this area?

You can get jobs at junior management level in hotels, pubs, restaurants, industrial catering services and residential homes.

How are the courses taught?

You’ll learn through work placement, groupwork, lectures, industry visits and guest speakers.

You’ll get practical experience in serving customers in our on-site commercial restaurant, The Study. Our teaching staff are experts from the sector. They use their industry connections, experience and knowledge to secure vital work experience and industry visits.

Where have previous students gone after completing their course?

Previous students have gone on to work at The Balmoral Edinburgh, the Trump Turnberry and other high-end establishments.
