HND EVENTS MANAGEMENT

Course Outline:

International conferences and business events in the UK are projected to be worth 19.4 billion by 2026. This course, which is equivalent to second year of a university degree, will provide you with what you need for working in the events industry, whether in weddings, business conferences, music and theatre, food and drinks or other events. The course is at an advanced level designed to equip you for university study or employment. Kirsty Talbot delivers elements of the course and she has worked in events management for nearly 20 years including the opening and closing ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, WorldSkills London 2011, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and G2018 European Championships.

This course will start in August or September 2022.

Education Progression:

  • Direct entry into third year of Events, International Events or other related subjects
  • Direct entry (at the discretion of the university) into third year of a BA (Hons) degree in a related subject

One or more of the following:

  • 1 Higher plus 3 National 5 awards
  • Relevant group of SQA National Qualifications at SCQF level 5/6
  • Equivalent recognised qualification
  • Relevant work experience
  • Acceptance may depend on an interview.
