Course Outline:

The events industry in the UK is expected to grow, with the international conference and business event industry projected to be worth 19.4 billion by 2026. If you’re interested in a career in wedding, music and theatre, or business event planning, the HNC Events course will give you the fundamentals for working in this sector.

This Course will start in August 2022.

Education Progression:

Direct entry into second year HND Events Management at South Lanarkshire College or first year of an events or marketing degree at university such as:

  • BA Events Management, University of the West of Scotland
  • BA Events Management, Robert Gordon University
  • BA Marketing, University of Stirling
  • BA Marketing, University of Strathclyde

Entry Requirements:

One or more of the following:

  • 1 Higher plus 3 National 5 awards
  • Relevant group of SQA National Qualifications at SCQF level 5/6
  • Equivalent recognised qualification
  • Relevant work experience
  • A keen interest in the subject area
  • If English is not your first language, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at an appropriate level
  • Acceptance may depend on interview.
