COURSE CONTENT

YEAR 1 – HNC Accounting

YEAR 2 – HND Accounting

YEAR 3 – BAcc Accounting

Continuing your studies of both financial and management accounting to a higher level. In addition, you will study both taxation and auditing providing you with excellent practical and theoretical knowledge.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• HND Accounting
• To be eligible candidates must be progressing from South Lanarkshire College
• Successful performance at interview

NEXT STEP COURSE OPTIONS

Successful completion of the BAcc Accounting will allow you to progress, at either the Paisley or Hamilton campuses of UWS, to YEAR 4 BAcc (Honours) Accounting which covers some of the more contemporary issues in accounting and accounting theory and history and an individual dissertation on an accounting-related issue of your choice.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

Studying accountancy opens up many opportunities. You can proceed to take professional exams with the main accountancy bodies such as ICAS, ACCA and CIMA for which the BAcc confers accreditation and exemptions.  Alternatively, you can use your degree as a launch pad into general business or finance and perhaps look at other professional exams such as Chartered Institute of Bankers.
