English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) National Qualification (January Start)

COURSE OUTLINE

This is a National qualification for candidates whose first language is not English. It assesses four skills:

  • Speaking
  • Writing
  • Listening
  • Reading

The course is available at a range of levels including complete beginner, National 2, 3, 4 or 5. All levels of ability are able to participate in the class. The course consists of three units:

  • Everyday communication
  • Transactional Contexts

While studying these units you will develop the language skills needed for everyday life in routine personal, social and transactional contexts.

  • Work and study related contexts

While studying these unit you will develop the language skills needed for routine work- and study-related contexts.
