An individual learning account with ILA Scotland is available to everyone aged over 16, earning £22,000 or less and living in Scotland.
Learners who earn £22,000 or less, or who are on benefits, may be eligible for ILA Scotland funding of up to £200 to help pay for a wide range of approved courses. The money is not a loan - so the money does not have to be paid back. Learners must have their ILA Scotland account set up and approved before enrolling on a course of study in order to use the ILA to pay part of the course fees. You must be earning £22,000 a year or less and studying for at least 40 SCQF credits a year).Higher Education courses at SCQF levels 7, 8, 9 and 10 are eligible. This includes Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND) or an undergraduate degree courses (see table for more information). Only courses that meet this criteria, and are delivered by colleges or universities registered with ILA Scotland, will be eligible for this new £500 funding.
