  • A specialist book stock, tailored to the needs of College courses
  • Learndirect Learning Centre
  • Library catalogue on computer
  • A comprehensive collection of journal, newspapers and popular magazines
  • A range of information in electronic format
  • Self-service card operated colour photocopy / print service
  • Internet access

  • Short-loan system for journals, videos and materials in high demand

  • Range of fiction
The Library sells core textbooks, with student discount, at the beginning of the College year.

Print and Photocopying

A small charge is made for mono and colour print and photocopying in the Library and Learning Centre.

Enabling Technologies & Support for Learning

disability logoThe College has a range of enabling technologies to assist students who have a disability or special learning need. If you think you might need specialist aids to assist you in your learning, speak to a member of the Support for Learning Team. They will help you identify the equipment that is most suitable for your needs and also identify whether the resources are available in College or whether you should apply for funding through the Disabled Students' Allowance (HE students) or the Additional Support Needs for Learning Allowance (FE students).  If the enabling technology is available in College, you will be given an issue authorisation slip to take to the College Library and the resource will be issued to you via your library membership card. Elaine Rodger, Curriculum Manager in the Faculty of Care leads the College's Support for Learning Team who also provide Literacy and Maths workshops and supported learning in class (SLIC) as required.  Please follow the link to the Support for Learning section of the website.

College Network and VLE (Moodle)

Access to the College Network and VLE is only available to enrolled students with a valid username and password.  You will asked for your student ID card when booking resources.
