How do I join the Library?

You must be an enrolled student to join the Library.  Soon after you begin your course you will attend a Library induction session.  During this induction you will be given a registration card to fill out and hand in.  Your Library ticket will then be available for you on your next visit to the Library.

Please DO
  • Ask us if you have any queries or need advice
  • Turn your mobile phone to silent when you come into the Library
  • Return resources on time
  • Consider other Library users and keep conversations to a minimum
Please DO NOT
  • Bring food or drink into the Library or the learning centre
  • Mark, highlight or in any way deface or damage Library material

Quiet Study and Group Study Rooms

Within the Library there is a seminar room for groups of students and a quiet study room for individual use, which can be pre-booked in advance. Please ask the Library staff or contact them via email or telephone

Print & Photocopying

There is a self-service, coin operated A4 and A3 colour photocopying and print facility in the Library/Learning Centre.  A small charge is made for mono and colour print and photocopying.

On-line library catalogue

The Library’s Heritage catalogue lists all the resources that the Library contains and can be searched by author, title or a subject keyword.  It can be accessed from any PC in the Library or through the Library Moodle pages.

Helpful advice and guidance on plagiarism can be found at http://www.plagiarismadvice.org/ and in the College's guidance on honesty and integrity in assessment

UCAS Application

You can complete an online UCAS application in College.  Please ask the Library staff for the buzzword to allow you to link your application to the College.
