Borrowing & Fines

Borrowing Resources

A maximum of 6 items can be borrowed at one time.  The majority of resources can be borrowed for 4 weeks at a time.  Other items may be borrowed as follows:
  • Short loan items can be borrowed for 1 week
  • DVDs can be borrowed for 1 week
  • Laptops can be borrowed overnight
  • Reference books cannot be borrowed
Your Library card must be produced at the issue desk in order to borrow any material. Please ensure that all items have been issued to you before you leave as there is a security system in operation.

Renewing Material

Library materials can be renewed for a maximum of two times provided no-one else has reserved them. Materials can be renewed in person, through email or by telephoning the Library.  Short loan items and laptops must be brought into the Library to be renewed as these items are normally in high demand.

Overdue & Lost Items

Overdue resources will only be renewed on payment of fines due.  Failure to return items and/or pay fines will result in suspension of Library and Learning Centre computer access and borrowing privileges.

Any library material lost or damaged must be paid for in full.  Your library access will be withdrawn and results will not be processed until the debt is paid in full.
