It is very straightforward to apply for a place as an international student at South Lanarkshire College.
Step 1
Read our prospectus and choose your course of study.
Step 2
Contact the International Office and ask for an international application form or apply online via this website.

Step 3
Complete the application form and return it to the above address. Your application form will be passed to the appropriate College department. You will be informed of their decision in a provisional acceptance letter.
Step 4
75% of the course fee must be paid in advance of an unconditional letter of acceptance being issued.
Step 5
Once the fee has been paid, you will receive an unconditional acceptance letter for the purpose of obtaining a study visa.
Step 6
You should apply for a study visa through the British Embassy or British Consulate in your own country. Britain is very keen to accept suitable International Students and we would expect your application to South Lanarkshire College to be successful. However, if you are unsuccessful your fees will be returned in full.
Step 7
We will provisionally arrange your accommodation.
Step 8
You should inform Student Admissions of your arrival details. You will be met on arrival by a member of staff and escorted to your accommodation.
Step 9
Payment of remainder of course fees.
Step 10
The following activities will be undertaken before the start of your course:
- Registration with the local police, if required
- Registration with a local medical centre
- A tour of the College
- A tour of the local area
- You will be issued an email address
- You will be given an emergency contact
- College and course induction
