Schools Provision

The College has a long tradition of working with schools and offers a range of programmes for and in partnership with secondary schools and South Lanarkshire Council.

Whne possible, we will be happy to arrange visits to the College for school pupils or members of staff.  Fiona or another member of the Marketing Team will be happy to attend parents' evenings or information days for school pupils.

What's with Work?

What's with Work is a joint initiative between local Colleges and South Lanarkshire Council. Students attend College to gain vocational qualifications over a two-year period in their third and fourth years at school. Scottish Progression Awards (SPAs) and Intermediate level 1/2 awards are offered under this programme.

The following Higher Grade programmes are offered. Dependent on numbers, the courses can be delivered in school or in College.

HN Units

Currently selected HN units from the HNC Construction Management course are offered. Units from other courses may be offered by agreement, dependent on numbers.
These programmes are designed to enhance academic education by providing an introduction to the vocaional area and most courses are also suitable for students with learning difficulties or disabilities who have not previously been in mainstream educaiton programmes.

Christmas Leaver Programme

This programme is jointly delivered by a school / council / college partnership and provides vocational tasters, delivered in College for students who intend leaving school at Christmas. Options across a range of vocational subjects are offered as well as social and personal development, guidance and core skills. Those who successfully complete the course may progress to a January-start programme in College.

Supported Study Programme

In partnership with school staff, the College provides a programme of revision and supported study classes for students taking Higher Grade examinations.
