In 2007, South Lanarkshire College East Kilbride was the first college to be graded very good in every subject reviewed by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education. This success has been repeated with the publication of the latest HMIE review in January 2011. HMIE expressed "full confidence" in all aspects of the College and identified six points of "excellent practice" and "sector leading and innovative practice". With the move to a new state-of-the art campus in the Scottish Enterprise Technology Park in East Kilbride in 2008, the College was able to expand its services to business and to provide education, training, skills development and knowledge exchange for local and national construction companies looking to expand in the field of renewable energies.
